The Deal: $3 PBR; 2 PBR for $5; Drink Specials
The Place: Union Pool

The Details: The third installment of Union Pool's outdoor yard party. Grab a taco and a PBR and hang out while bands play. There is supposed to be a "super secret special guest" but that could mean anything. Starts at 3pm.

The Deal: BYOB + cheap booze
The Place: The Trailer Park
The Price: $3
The Details: There's a bunch of random ass old warehouses in the Williamsburg Industrial Park which make for excellent DIY party spots. Despite the fact that I haven't heard of any of the bands (Mamelukes and Big Gunz) I'd wager that this will be a rager. Plus there's going to be burlesque/strippers, which is cool.

The Deal: $3 Rolling Rock, $2 Genessee...other cheap shit.
The Place: Don Pedro's
The Price: $7
The Details: Midnite Till Death might not be the insane party it used to be, say back at #10 or so. But even if there's not crazies swinging from rafters anymore you will get to hear some rad bands that no one else will be hip to for at least a few months. Plus Pedro's is a dirty ass, dive bar with an assortment of cheap booze.

The Deal: $3 PBR all night; 2-4-1 drinks 3-4am
The Place: The Studio
The Price: $5 w/ RSVP:
trash@djjessnyc.com
The Details: If you're not familiar with Kayvon Zand he's the dude kinda at the forefront of the latest downtown goth/hipster scene. He's been banned from Highline Ballroom because people were engaging in sexual activity on stage. So it makes sense that he's playing Trash since that kinda stuff used to be commonplace at this party back in the day.

The Deal: Budweiser Open Bar 8:30-9:30pm
The Place: Glasslands
The Price: $10 w/RSVP: popgunbooking.com/2010rsvp or $12 w/o
The Details: PopGun pretty much scores the party of the night with this one. Deerhunter is dropping by for a DJ set. Plus, The Big Sleep, We Are All Romans and recent blog sensations, Ducktails, are all playing live. Unfortunately the one hitch is the free booze is Budweiser, which might be the worst beer ever...unless they want to advertise on Booze Party, in which case they're A-OK.

The Deal: 2-4-1 drinks 10-11pm; Open Bar 2-2:30am
The Place: Gallery Bar
The Price: $3 before 12; $5 after 12
The Details: The claim is that this party is a fundraiser, hence the cover. Only they don't mention where the proceeds go but I'm guessing it's fueling someone's Four Loko habit. There are a shit load of people involved so I'm just going to highlight a few here: DJ Dirty Finger, Hiro Tha Jap, Skitsnygg, The Glitter Kids, Debbie Delirium, etc. Basically it's the Bushwick punks mingling with the downtown scenesters. If you can't get laid here then pack up your sack and leave New York.

The Deal: Mojito Open Bar 8-9pm
The Place: Boom

The Details: This week's Tiswas is the release party for the soundtrack to
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. You know, that movie with Michael Cera. Or as I like to call him, "the hipster Tom Cruise," because he plays the same character in every movie...or maybe that's Pacino. Either way, there's free vodka.

This used to be off limits for broke jokes like you and I but the new "drink till you dance" specials mean that us poor folk can mingle with rich and (locally) famous that frequent this party. It's also Jess Jubilee's birthday celebration, if that does anything for ya.
