The Place: Shea Stadium
The Price: $20 for 2, bring a date. $5 after midnight.
The Details: Hipster prom in a DIY space in Williamsburg with live bands DJs and artists. The bands are all doing cover sets which could be awesome. The Beets are playing Beatles tunes, Slasher Rick is playing all motown covers, Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt are playing all doo-wop and so on. It's $10 a head for the show portion of the night. If you show up after midnight it's $5 but you miss the bands. I'm not sure what the booze costs at Shea but I'm pretty sure it's cheap, it is a DIY space after all.
